Jesus is the firstborn of a NEW CREATION! When He came out of the grave a whole new creation was born. We know that Jesus brought about the first creation with the participation of the Father and the Holy Spirit. Colossians speaks of these two creations: Colossians 1:15-18 (Philips translation) "Now Christ is the visible expression of the invisible God. He existed before creation began, for it was through him that every thing was made, whether spiritual or material, seen or unseen. Through him, and for him, also, were created power and dominion, ownership and authority. In fact, every single thing was created through, and for him. He is both the first principle and the upholding principle of the whole scheme of creation. And now he is the head of the body which is composed of all Christian people. Life from nothing began through him, and life from the dead began through him, and he is, therefore, justly called the Lord of all. It was in him that the full nature of God chose to live, and through him God planned to reconcile in his own person, as it were, everything on earth and everything in Heaven by virtue of the sacrifice of the cross." What is this great 2nd great creation? It is really more powerful than the first. Christ's original creation that we see all around us will pass away. But His great 2nd creation is for the ages to come. What is this 2nd great creation? Would you believe it is you and me. We are created in Christ Jesus to be UNITED one with Him in His resurrection. Ephesians 2:5-7 "Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." This is the power of the resurrection! Please stop right now and ask for His revelation of this to your mind and soul. Your "spirit man" is your resurrected man! It has already been united with Christ and made a "partaker of His divine nature". So now all that Jesus is in heaven, your "spirit man" is on this earth. You are the transmitter of heaven to earth! Paul actually goes on to say in Ephesians 1:22"And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
