You Have Authority to Release People from Their Sin!

One of the greatest truths I have learned in freeing other people from their past is the authority Jesus has given us.  Found in John 20:21-22 "And when Jesus had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit.  If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."

I have been practicing this for many years.  It all started in a service that I held in Salem, Oregon.  I was standing behind a man in the service and when the leader told us to turn around and greet people, he turned to me. I could smell alcohol on his breath and on his body.  I knew he was an alcoholic if he smelled on Sunday morning.  Then I told him, "After today sir, Jesus is telling me you will never take another drink of alcohol."  I went up to speak and the man ran out of the service. I think he was fearful that I would embarrass him. I felt condemned that I had chased him away.  But not known to me, he slipped back in the back of the auditorium.  When I gave the invitation, he came to the front.  I led him to Jesus and he repeated the sinners prayer.  Then I told him, "Jesus just told me to give you this message.  Your sins are forgiven.  Everything you have done before today, He has totally forgiven.  You are released from your past sins".  He burst into tears with a loud groan. He fell to his knees and began to weep.  For quite awhile he knelt there until there was literally a puddle of tears.  Then he got up and told me, "All my condemnation that led me to drink is gone!"  I went back 8 months later to hold another School of Evangelism in that city and who is sitting in the front row? The man set free 8 months earlier.  He then told me, "I have never taken another drink after Jesus freed me that day you prayed with me."

Let's practice this great authority ON EARTH!

Greatest Power in the Universe! What is it?

That is a good question.  What is the world's greatest power? Is it evil?  Is it science with it's great discoveries?  Is it education with it's power to influence? It is atomic energy? Is it money? What is the world's greatest power?  The power that I refer to is effectual enough to change eternity.  This power is essential enough to be the GREATEST POWER ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN.  It is the power of love.  "Love never fails..."  Says I Corinthians 13:8 It always get's it's desired results.  It can change a marriage, change a father's relationship to a wayward son or daughter.  It can change the course of a nation, the heart of a people.  When embraced it moves mountains, turns anger and hate into forgiveness and healing. The power of love circumvents distance and on the quantum physics level brings heaven to earth. It travels through space and can touch someone on the other side of the world. It has no distance, no barriers, no limit, no boundaries. The mystery of love is it's power to transform. Though it can't be seen with the naked eye, it can be felt in a broken heart. The words of love bring health to our bones, to our bodies, to our minds.  "For God so loved" are words of hope, future, forgiveness, healing, life and eternity.

Praying Through the Tabernacle - Empowering your prayer life!

I asked God for help in empowering my prayer life for 2020.  He helped me discover some real keys!  The Old Testament Tabernacle of the Wilderness is a type of Christ.  The articles in the tabernacle and the pieces of furniture become prayer stations for beautiful revelation of Christ and praying through these stations has greatly empowered my prayer time.  It have gone from 20 minutes a day to over an hour and it's increasing daily.  Wow!  Try this for yourself and see what it will do for you.  How do I pray through the tabernacle?  Let me explain:
1. Enter His gates with thanks giving and praise.
2. Brazen Altar - the power of the shed blood of Christ at the cross.
3. Bronze Laver - Reflection of our identity in Christ.  "I AM" crucified, buried, risen, seated and now reign with Christ.
4. Now enter the holy place.  5 pillars a picture of "Grace".
5. The Menorah to my left - Lights the holy place & pictures the Holy Spirit's work.
6. Table of Shew Bread - The wonderful word of God. Pray through some scriptures.
7. Altar of Incense - This is the prayers of the saints.  I pray for my family, my pastors, my government, for marriages that I know need prayer and finally for the homeless, poor, widows, orphans and foster children.
8. Now I go into the "Holy of Holies". This is where the Ark of the Covenant was kept.  Which is my body as the temple of the Holy Spirit.  We are actually called the "Naos" in Greek, which is the N.T. "Holy of Holies" in Romans 12:1-2.  I now worship, listen to God's voice, celebrate the greatness, goodness and love of God!
Believe me, this has changed my morning prayer time and made it come ALIVE!  I challenge you to give it try and see what it does for you.  Watch this short video to inspire you to do the same.
