Favor with the King! Daniel Ch. 1

God's light shines brightest in times of darkness.  Nebuchadnezzar had just besieged Jerusalem for the third time.  But this final time he took many into captivity into Babylon for 70 years.  God was making up for the 70 years that Israel had stolen in the former 490 years by refusing to honor the Sabbath every 7 years.  So God redeemed those years by placing Israel into captivity. God also took four young men of Israel into the court of the king of Babylon.  They were handsome, without physical blemish, wise in learning the language and the culture of Babylon.  Daniel, of course, was among them. Daniel excelled in excellence and had received, from God, the gift of dreams and interpretation. Daniel 1:17 "As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams." This made Daniel stand out among all those in the king's court of soothsayers, astrologers and the wise men. Daniel, along with Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were being groomed in the customs and culture of Babylon. Even though their names were changed, their diet was changed, their dress was changed, there hearts were not. They remained faithful in the middle of the entire Babylonian system, to their God Jehovah.  Because of their pure hearts and purpose not to defile themselves with the king's meat and drink, they became more excellent than all the other wise men by 10 times!  Not only that, Daniel was given great favor in the court of the king!  Daniel 1:9 "Now God had brought Daniel into favor and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs."  Remember FAVOR comes from God!

Remember also, that we, the body and bride of Christ, have been given 9 beautiful gifts of the Holy Spirit in this age, so that we too can excel in life and ministry. You have been gifted, just like Daniel, with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to have the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues and interpretation of tongues. (I Cor. 12:8 - 11) We should be affecting our culture and nation just like Daniel did Babylon. Daniel is an illustration of how the body of Christ will function in the middle of the final Babylonian system found in the book of Revelation.  We will by used mightily!

A Now Word to the Body of Christ - "He that has ears...."

I was video taping one of my broadcasters in our studio for his weekly television program here in Tampa Bay on Channel 12 MOR Television, and God spoke to me to remain behind in the studio.  I felt the Holy Spirit tell me He had a word for the body of Christ that was important for this end-time season. Please take a few minutes to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. Remember this is the key to overcoming during the tribulation time. If we will hear the voice of God in the middle of Crisis.  I am doing a study right now through the book of Daniel.  Daniel and his three friends were about to be killed along with all the magicians, soothsayers, astrologers and wise men Babylon. The king had already started killing some of them, not Daniel and his friends, but the other guys. When the overseer of the wise men of Babylon said, "Oh king there is a man, Daniel, that can interpret the dream and vision."  Daniel was brought in to the king.  He asked for a few days to seek God's wisdom. Daniel went to his house, called in the other three and they prayed for wisdom. God answered their prayers. Daniel came back with the dream and interpretation to Nebuchadnezzar and the king gave Daniel great honor and placed him in the highest position in the land along with Daniel's friends. The king also praised the God of Daniel. Daniel 2:47  "The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this dream."

That is the power of true gifts of the Holy Spirit now being poured out on the bride of Christ. But is it still important to have the ability to interpret dreams and visions in our day?  Is prophetic revelation of the times still important today?  Can we actually be given this ability by God? Did Daniel say that the prophetic revelation would be kept unto the end of days? That the books would be closed until then and he was to seal up the book? I believe so.  I believe we are in that season where God is going to unlock those seals of revelation and understanding of the times.  That is why I am doing the study on the book of Daniel.  HERE IS THE SHORT VIDEO GOD GAVE ME FOR YOU

He would admit, "My time is not yet" or "Father now I know My time has come".  These kind of statements give us the clues that show how passionate Jesus was.  He really unfolded His purpose for coming to this earth in two great statements. "For this purpose was the Son of man manifest, that He might destroy the works of the devil".  Jesus was the ultimate destroyer, invader of planet earth, transformer of mankind.  He utterly removed 100% of Satan's authority on the cross and in His resurrection.  Mission accomplished!  The second great statement was, "I have come to seek and save that which is lost".  Everything about Jesus was redemptive.  He came to redeem man from the fall, the earth from the curse, bring heaven to earth and transfer the kingdom of His Father to our planet. That is why I look to Jesus for my inspiration and direction.  Little wonder He said, "Follow Me". Are we following the same passion, purpose and plan? Jesus gives us a clear definition of how this age will end.  Many people today look to the signs of the beginning of sorrows, which is the early part of the end-times.  Things like earthquakes, pestilence and wars and rumors of wars,.  But Jesus clearly taught these are NOT the signs of the end of this age.  They are simply the continuation of sorrows that the earth has experienced for thousands of years.  Jesus said there was only ONE true sign of His soon coming.  It is found in Matthew 24:14 "When this gospel of the kingdom is preached in all the world unto all nations (ethnos-dialects) as a witness, then shall the end come".  That is about as clear as you can get, yet many, many people today on you tube and other media and proclaiming that these "beginning of sorrows" are the end. A Father's Blessing - Father's Day

A FATHER'S BLESSING

Jesus said, "He that has seen me has seen the Father."  Want to know what the Father looks like?  Look at Jesus.  Jesus only spoke what the Father told Him.  Jesus said, "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak...whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."  John 12:49-50  As we come into Father's day, learn to be a good father... like Jesus.  Jesus said earlier that He did not come into the world to condemn the world, but save it.  A father's love should always be redemptive.  When they threw the woman taken in adultery at the feet of Jesus, He knelt on the ground and wrote with His hand something in the sand.  It drove all the accusers away and now only Jesus and the adulterous woman remained.  He spoke as a loving father and said, "Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more."  Jesus constantly spoke words of healing and deliverance.  Never words of damnation and condemnation.  As a father of 4 children, I have learned in the journey of life, that those kind of words do work better.  Why is Father's blessing so important to us? God created in us the desire for a father's love and blessing.  In Israel it was essential for the future of each child...especially the eldest son.  It was customary for father's to give that blessing before they died.  I believe we should restore this ancient practice.  I pray with my youngest son each night before he goes to bed.  He is presently 15 years old and we cherish this time together.  First we pray together through the "Lord's Prayer" and then I lay my hands on him and pray the fathers blessing on him each night.  He just returned from our churches summer teen camp and the leader of his group of 8 really took to Chris.  He sensed something in him of greatness.  Now this may seem like I am boasting, but I believe one of the reasons of his emotional and spiritual stability is the nightly "father's blessing".  Kids face a lot of struggles today with sexuality, pressures from secular education, peer pressures, etc.  They need a "father's blessing".  I challenge each father reading this to speak that blessing over and over again to our sons and daughters.  Remember the Father in heaven said, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.." about His Son Jesus. Let's do the same.
